Dali Ancient TownBacked by Cangshan Mountain and facing Erhai Lake, it's the core area for experiencing Bai culture and the slow pace of life in Dali.

 

Xizhou Old TownFamous for its exquisite Bai residential architecture and picturesque rural scenery of swaying rice fields. Must-see: Yan Family Compound, Street Corner Building.

 

Shuanglang Old TownKnown as "the first town of Erhai Lake scenery," it's one of the best spots to watch the sunset over the lake.

 

Shaxi Old Town(Surrounding area): About a 2-hour drive from Dali, it is the only surviving market town on the Tea Horse Road, known for its peace and original charm.


 

uNatural Scenery

Erhai LakeThe second-largest freshwater lake in Yunnan. Best Experiences: Cycling the ecological corridor, boating on the lake, relaxing at a lakeside inn.

 

Cangshan MountainNineteen peaks and eighteen streams form the magnificent backdrop of Dali. Recommendations: Take the Xuemantan Cable Car to the top for glacial relics, or the Gantong Cable Car to visit Qingbi Stream and the Zhenlong Chessboard.

 

Chongsheng Temple and Three PagodasThe symbol of Dali, with a history of over a thousand years, offering a perfect spot for classic photos.
