uLi River Scenic Area

The essence of Guilin's landscape. The Yangdi to Xingping section represents the core of Li River scenery. Taking a bamboo raft or cruise allows you to admire landmarks like Mural Hill and Yellow Cloth Shoal, including the view captured on the 20-yuan banknote. Early morning or dusk are recommended for visits, when mist or sunset creates particularly captivating river views.

uYangshuo and Surroundings

West Street serves as Yangshuo's bustling center, especially lively at night with diverse restaurants, bars, and handicraft shops. Yulong River, a Li River tributary, is famous for its traditional bamboo rafting, passing several dams that create splashing water effects for a unique experience. Ten-Mile Gallery is ideal for hiking, e-bike, or bicycle tours through stunning pastoral landscapes.

uLongji Rice Terraces

Known as "earth's fingerprints," these terraces offer spectacular seasonal scenery. Spring and autumn (particularly May's irrigation period and late September to October's golden rice season) are especially beautiful. Main viewing areas include Jinkeng and Ping'an villages, with observation platforms perfect for photography and sunrise viewing.

Elephant Trunk Hill on the Li River's bank is Guilin's iconic landmark, named for its elephant-like shape. Two Rivers and Four Lakes form the city's circular water system, with spectacular night lighting best enjoyed by boat, lakeside walk, or bike ride. Jingjiang Prince City, a Ming Dynasty princely residence, preserves the original stone inscription of "Guilin's landscape is the finest under heaven," while climbing Solitary Beauty Peak offers city views.
