Recommended route: Enter from the South Gate/Main Gate (Moon Hole Gate), frame shots through the gate for stunning Chinese-style compositions, then enter Fanghua Garden (the main attraction, once awarded a gold medal at the International Horticultural Exposition), with its intricate layout and scenic views at every step. Afterwards, head to the Stone Bridge in the middle of the lake → Spring Pavilion → Guoxiang Hall → Jieyun Villa → West Plaza → South Gate 2 or exit. 

Experience the serene craftsmanship of Lingnan gardens and the living legacy of Lingnan orchid art. 

Take a walk to Yuexiu Park and stroll up the gentle slopes to touch the 600-year-old blue brick city walls from the Ming Dynasty. Then climb to the top of the Ming-era 'Zhenhai Tower' (commonly known as the Five-Story Tower) to overlook the Pearl River and the city's central axis. Inside the tower is the Guangzhou Museum, where you can learn about the thousand-year history of Yangcheng. Continue walking to the core landmark—the Five Rams Stone Sculpture, carved from 130 pieces of granite and standing over 10 meters tall, which is the origin of Guangzhou's nickname 'City of Rams.' It is recommended to shoot from the side looking up, avoiding crowds, with blue skies as the background for better photos.

And recommend trying the preserved radish dumplings and green tea sweet rice rolls at the nearby Beiyuan Restaurant. The textures are distinct, with a savory and crispy flavor. Also, check out the stir-fried beef noodles at Ling You Long Food Center, which are full of wok hei (wok aroma) and have a perfect balance of charred and tender textures. The triple Sauce Rice Noodle Rolls are also delicious, with a rich sauce and a complex flavor that is sweet, sour, and slightly spicy. These are all representative of Cantonese street food.
